成果の概要

Under Africa rice farming system project, the 2023 rice yield data have been processed. DNA of part of the soil samples collected from the 2023 rice field experiment has been isolated. Counterparts have been trained on real-time PCR using the extracted DNA and are now conducting the remaining qPCR. Further, the conditions for the conclusion of Access and Benefit-sharing (ABS) in Madagascar have been rediscussed and agreed upon with site owners and the ABS focal point members.
Under TERRA Africa project, we started the DNA extraction of soil samples from the 2024 field trials and trained students in real-time PCR. We established the TERRA 2c-5 field experiment (maize sowing) at the University for Development Studies (UDS).
