SATREPSボリビアプロジェクト「高栄養価作物キヌアのレジリエンス強化生産技術の開発と普及」の課題2における圃場評価試験の収穫期の生育調査および収穫を実施する
成果の概要
Our project aims to develop early‑maturing quinoa varieties with enhanced resilience to climate change in the Bolivian Altiplano (4,000 MASL). We aim to provide quinoa crops with an effective escape mechanism against short rainfall periods, prolonged drought, and seasonally low temperatures, including winter frost. To advance this objective, I traveled to Bolivia, to harvest field experiments established at the PROINPA experimental station. The primary purpose of the visit was to collect phenological data (sflowering time, maturity dates, and grain yield) from quinoa breeding lines. These data will be used to identify Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) associated with early maturity. We also participated in a Project meeting to review research progress, and visited our experimental quinoa plots. In addition, we traveled to the Uyuni region to participate in an open‑day event for local farmers, and conducted a field survey of quinoa cultivation in areas surrounding the Salar de Uyuni.
