SATREPSボリビアプロジェクト「高栄養価作物キヌアのレジリエンス強化生産技術の開発と普及」の課題2における圃場試験の収穫後形質調査を実施する
成果の概要
Our Project aims to develop early maturing quinoa with enhanced resilience to climate change in the Bolivian Altiplano (4,000 MASL). The main goal is to provide an escape mechanism for quinoa crops from short rainfall periods, prolonged drought, and seasonal low temperature (winter frost). To advance this task, I traveled to Bolivia, to harvest the field experiments established at the PROINPA experimental field. The primary objective was to identify Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) associated with early maturity. During my visit, we completed the harvest of breeding lines based on panicle maturity, using grain hardness as a maturity indicator. Harvested panicles were placed in paper bags, air-dried, and carefully threshed and cleaned to prevent cross-contamination. Subsequent grain evaluation for color and size will be conducted. Additionally, crude DNA was extracted, and the suitability of the designed INDEL (insertion/deletion) markers was confirmed in the parental lines.
