In order to improve the environmental adaptability, reduce the environmental impact, and enhance the sustainability of rice production, field cultivation tests were conducted in the highlands of Madagascar under two different climatic conditions. We carried out four field experiments using the localized phosphorus (P) dipping technique and conventional farmers` management practices. We also installed samplers to monitor soil environmental parameters, which helped us assess the effectiveness of this technique in improving rice production. Additionally, as part of an international project focused on monitoring greenhouse gas emissions from arable land, we conducted field observations and yield surveys during the second year of cultivation tests in the rice-growing region of Ankarafantsika in northwestern Madagascar. We also collected gas samples and field observation data with the assistance of the local counterparts.
