成果の概要

The goal of the SATREPS Bolivia project is to elucidate the stress resistance mechanism of quinoa and develop the core technologies necessary for strengthening in sustainable production system. In relation to the target 2, “Breeding lines for enhanced resilience and early-ripening are developed.,” during this business trip, I visited Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), participated in the 5th JCC and the workshop, presented my research, and discussed with project members. I also visited the PROINPA Viacha experimental field to observe the growth conditions and characterize the promising lines developed under the project. Furthermore, I visited quinoa fields around the Uyuni Salt Flat, including the Salinas de Garci Mendoza area, and the PROINPA Uyuni experimental field to conduct field surveys.
