成果の概要

The goal of the SATREPS Bolivia project is to elucidate the stress resistance mechanism of quinoa and develop the core technologies necessary for strengthening in sustainable production system. In relation to the target 2, “Breeding lines for enhanced resilience and early-ripening are developed,” during this business trip, I visited Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), participated in the project workshop, presented my research in Japan, and discussed with project members. Furthermore, I visited quinoa fields around the Uyuni Salt Flat, including the Salinas de Garci Mendoza area, and the PROINPA Uyuni experimental field to conduct field surveys. I reported on this business trip to the JICA office and exchanged views on future cooperation.
