20th International Plant Nutrition Colloquium(第二十回 国際植物栄養会議)でのポスター発表
成果の概要
At the 20th IPNC 2025 in Porto, I presented a poster titled “Physiological insensitivity to high leaf Fe underlies tolerance to Fe toxicity in rice.” My study revealed that tolerant genotypes (IR42 and KA-28) maintained yield under Fe toxicity through tissue-level Fe insensitivity rather than exclusion. We observed genotype-specific expression of OsVIT2, suggesting vacuolar Fe storage as a tolerance mechanism. Grain Zn concentrations increased under Fe-toxic conditions, highlighting potential for simultaneous stress tolerance and biofortification. During the session, I received constructive feedback from international experts on refining mineral analysis methods and designing validation experiments. The discussion also opened collaborative opportunities, including integrating molecular and field approaches and exploring regional trials. This presentation enhanced the visibility of my research and positioned our institution in the global plant nutrition and food security network.
