成果の概要

In Australia I used high-end specialized facilities at the Center for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis (CMCA), located at the University of Western Australia (UWA), to analyze cell-level element concentrations in rice leaves of contrasting genotypes. In these analyses I used cryo-scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (cryo-SEM EDX) to map, extract and quantify cell-level element concentrations in rice leaves, with the aim to identify key cell-level nutrient allocation traits associated with increased phosphorus-use efficiency (PUE).
