成果の概要

On-farm trials for validation of Decision Support System (DSS) were set up in total of 12 communities in Lichinga and Nampula. Overall training on DSS and intensive training on the use of AquaCrop were conducted for a soil scientist at IIAM-EAL (Lichinga). Transferring the update dataset of AquaCrop for some counterpart researchers at IIAM-EAL and IIAM-PAN (Nampula) were conducted. In addition, instruction for soil analysis and the analysis of soil samples were performed at IIAM-PAN. Collection of soil samples from on-station fields in IIAM-EAL and IIAM-PAN was done. Other missions included discussion on on-going missions, working plans, and future research. Moreover. supporting the activities relating to ProSAVANA-PI project such as the Press tour organized by Japanese Embassy in Mozambique and JICA.
