成果の概要

Under the JIRCAS President Incentive Research Project, a field trip to An Cu, and interviews were conducted in Tay Phu, An Giang, Vietnam. Approximately 50 farmers in areas where flooding had entered paddy fields and approximately 50 farmers in areas that had not been flooded were interviewed. The survey focused on flooding in the full-dike-protected paddy fields of An Giang Province, Vietnam, during the rainy season in 2025. The results showed that most farmers recognized that floods deposit sediment and improve soil quality, and had no negative effect on rice production. The farmers were generally in favor of allowing floodwater to enter their paddy fields.
