Researcher Nakagawa Wins Best Poster Presentation Award at the 254th Annual Meeting of the Crop Science Society of Japan
Dr. Andressa Nakagawa (Researcher, Crop, Livestock and Environment Division) received the Best Poster Presentation Award for her research achievement titled “A simple evaluation method for soybean genotypic variation of seedling emergence against soil crust” (Andressa Nakagawa, Kohtaro Iseki, Kenta Ikazaki) presented at the 254th Annual Meeting of the Crop Science Society of Japan (CSSJ) held at Fukushima University on September 20-21, 2022.

JIRCAS presented its biomass energy research activities and results at the “Agro Innovation 2022" organized by the Japan Management Association and held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 26 - 28, 2022. The event is a specialized exhibition showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products related to the entire value chain of Japan's agribusiness.

Researcher Takaragawa Wins Best Oral Presentation Award at the 254th Annual Meeting of the Crop Science Society of Japan
Dr. TAKARAGAWA Hiroo, Researcher at the JIRCAS Tropical Agriculture Research Front (TARF), received the Best Presentation Award (Oral), for his research achievement titled “Responses of gas exchange and metabolites to drought stress in sugarcane and Erianthus" (H. Senior Researcher Koide Junji Receives 18th Young Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Researcher Award for 2022
JIRCAS Senior Researcher, Dr. Koide Junji of the Social Sciences Division, received the Young Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Researcher Award for 2022 for his work on development of a versatile agricultural management planning model for small-scale farmers.
Julio César García-Rodríguez, Yamanaka Naoki and Colleagues Receive Honorable Mention for the PhytoFrontiers Best Student Paper Award 2021
The paper “Virulence Diversity of Phakopsora pachyrhizi in Mexico” by Julio César García-Rodríguez of Mexico's National Institute for Forestry, Agriculture and Livestock Research (INIFAP), Yamanaka Naoki, Senior Researcher in the Biological Resources and Post-harvest Division of JIRCAS, and their colleagues received honorable mention for the PhytoFrontiers Best Student Paper Award 2021 of the American Phytopathological Society.
