1361. Awarding Ceremony for the 2025 (The 19th) Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers (Japan Award)

 

The awarding ceremony for the 2025 (The 19th) Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers (Japan Award) will be held as follows. 

The Japan Award was started in 2007 by a generous donation from Mr. MOTAI Shigeru, former Chairman of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council (AFFRC), and this year marks the 19th time the award has been presented. JIRCAS, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), administers the award.

3.    Overview of the Japan Award
The Japan Award aims to increase motivation among young researchers who are contributing to research and development (R&D) in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and related industries in developing countries. This award was launched in 2007 and has recognized 54 young researchers from around the world as of 2024. Recipients of the Japan Award have become bridges of research collaboration between their countries and Japan.
