Awarding Ceremony, 2025 (19th) Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers (Japan Award)
The Japan Award, organized by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council (AFFRC), MAFF, Japan since 2007, aims to motivate young researchers who engage in research and development in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and related industries in developing regions. Up to three young researchers are recognized each year for their outstanding performance and research achievements.
The chairman of the AFFRC bestows testimonials to the winners. The winners also receive the “MOTAI-JIRCAS Award*” of USD 5,000 each.
* Mr. Shigeru MOTAI, former Chairman of the AFFRC, is the donor of this award, which is also supported by the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS).
