What the SDGs is?

JIRCAS Initiatives
Under the motto “Together for our food and planetary health”, JIRCAS conducts experimental research to improve technologies related to agriculture, forestry, and fisheries in developing regions, with the aim of reducing poverty, ensuring food security, and solving global environmental problems. Since its establishment in 1970, JIRCAS has played a central role in Japan's international contribution and collaboration in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries research. Research results are used to improve farmers’ incomes in developing regions, ensure a stable food supply, and address climate change, thereby contributing to the achievement of the SDGs.
