The Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit 2021 held on December 7 and 8, 2021 has been covered in several Pick up articles.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) held a side event in conjunction with the summit focusing on one of the N4G target areas, “Food: Building food systems that promote healthy diets and nutrition,” in order to contribute to sustainable development in Japanese agriculture and food industries. The archived videos of the side event organized by MAFF have now been compiled and posted on the MAFF website.

From JIRCAS, Dr. NAGATOSHI Yukari (Biological Resources and Post-harvest Division) gave a presentation at Thematic Session 2: Toward Sustainable Solutions to Nutrition Issues through Food – Food is Local, Wisdom is Global, and introduced the partnership through agriculture using quinoa as an example. In addition, Dr. SHITATORI Sakiko (Information and Public Relations Office) gave a presentation on JIRCAS research efforts to improve nutrition in the Presentation Session of Stakeholders.
