On September 17–18, 2025 (Wed–Thu), the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) participated for the first time in the 11th Kyushu Agro-Innovation – Kyushu Green Food System EXPO 2025, held at Marine Messe Fukuoka Building B and organized by the Japan Management Association.

At our exhibition booth, we showcased the outcomes of collaborative research projects, including the “Partial Deep Tillage Machine & Cut-Soiler,” designed to reduce soil runoff from farmland, and the “Asian Monsoon Model Plant Factory,” tailored for tropical and subtropical regions.

This event, described on its official website as “Kyushu is Japan’s leading hub for agricultural business!”, aims to enhance productivity, promote efficient resource utilization, and add high value to agricultural products, while fostering exchange among related organizations. Over the two-day period, including concurrent exhibitions, the event welcomed a total of 3,683 visitors.

Our booth attracted a diverse range of attendees, including agricultural businesses, local governments, educational institutions, and research organizations. In addition to presentations by researchers from the Tropical Agriculture Research Front (TARF), we engaged in lively discussions with visitors.

Moving forward, JIRCAS will continue to actively disseminate knowledge and technologies derived from international collaborative research through exhibitions and other outreach efforts.
