1241. Earth Day 2025

Ecosystems support all life on Earth. The artificial modification of nature accompanied by the destruction of biodiversity, such as deforestation, land use change, the intensification of agriculture and livestock farming, and the expansion of illegal wildlife trade, can impair the functions of ecosystems that support the Earth.

Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, provides an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage action on various environmental crises facing the planet.

Restoring damaged ecosystems can help eradicate poverty, combat climate change, and prevent mass extinction of species. However, these efforts will not succeed unless each of us changes our awareness and behavior. Now more than ever, we need to recognize the need to transition to a more sustainable economy that promotes harmony with nature and the planet.
