Livestock production is responsible for 14% of the world's total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
In this issue, we present JIRCAS research on livestock production.

● Enteric methane emission models for beef cattle in Southeast Asia
Given the significant contribution of livestock to greenhouse gas emissions, it is critical to accurately assess their environmental impact.
The estimation equation developed in this study not only offers increased accuracy, but also represents a simpler approach compared to existing methods.
