“KAPI Open House” to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of Kasetsart Agricultural and Agro-Industrial Product Improvement Institute (KAPI) was held on July 28~30, 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand. For this 23rd anniversary, the president of JIRCAS sent a congratulatory letter to the director of KAPI. In his letter, he expressed JIRCAS’ congratulation on the 23rd anniversary of KAPI and wished the open house full success. The letter was read out on the opening ceremony organized in the first day of the event. In the exhibition “Technology for Innovation”, which was opened to public after the opening ceremony, JIRCAS set a booth to exhibit its research outcomes. In the booth, the overviews and outcomes of JIRCAS collaborative research projects with Thai research organizations including KAPI were presented by posters. In addition, JIRCAS publications were displayed and distributed; inquiries from the visitors were answered by JIRCAS Southeast Asia Liaison Office staff; and functional food tasting (anti-oxidative cooked rice nugget) was provided.
