JIRCAS has been conducting research activities under a new research program and project structure in the 5th Medium to Long-term Plan (5 years until 2025), which started on April 1, 2021. We are pleased to announce the release of the website introducing our research programs and projects.

•  Environment Program: Development of agricultural technologies for climate change, resource recycling and environmental conservation

•  Food Program: Technology development towards building a new food system with improved productivity, sustainability and resilience

           Program Director：NAKASHIMA Kazuo

• Information Program: Strengthening function as an international hub for providing strategic information on agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and mobilizing new research partnerships
