On February 14, 2023, Counsellor Fabian Tan of the Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Japan, and three others visited the JIRCAS plant factory at the Tropical Agriculture Research Front (TARF) in Ishigaki City. Representatives of the Japan Premium Vegetable (CEO: Mr. ENDO Kenji), which is responsible for overseas development of the Asian Monsoon Plant Factory System, also joined the Singaporean delegation and toured the facilities of TARF.

Dr. NAKAYAMA Masakazu, TARF researcher in-charge of the plant factory project, explained about his research activities to the visitors.
