Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) is a national research institute under Ministry of Science and Technology, Royal Thai Government. The institute undertakes researches on bio-science and sustainable development. In order to introduce JIRCAS activities to TISTR researchers and seek the possibilities of future collaboration, a seminar was organized by TISTR in its headquarters, Pathum Thani province on October 15, 2014. During the seminar, while introducing the JIRCAS outline, on-going researches in Thailand and basic procedures of project implementation, TISTR researchers explained the outline of TISTR research activities. The participants from both institutes understood that they are working with common research topics such as functional food, biomass and reduction of greenhouse gas emission from agricultural sector. They also agreed to continue information exchange to realize collaboration in future.
