A delegation including Dr. Antonio Gandarillas, representative of the PROINPA Foundation in Bolivia, Dr. Giovanna Almanza and Dr. Isabel Morales from the Universidad de San Andres visited the JIRCAS Headquarters on July 11, 2018. 

A delegation including Dr. Antonio Gandarillas, representative of the PROINPA Foundation in Bolivia, Dr. Giovanna Almanza and Dr. Isabel Morales from the Universidad de San Andres visited the JIRCAS Headquarters on July 11, 2018. 

The PROINPA Foundation is a non-profit agricultural research and extension organization established about 20 years ago by its members at the time of the closure of national agricultural research institutions. It promotes technical innovation to improve the competitiveness of Andean crops, food security and the conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources, for the benefit of farmers and the Bolivian society as a whole.The University of San Andres is a national university that is headquartered in La Paz, Bolivia. The visit was aimed developing a future Bolivian-Japan joint research collaboration on quinoa crop. Dr. Gandarillas and his colleagues cexchanged opinions with JIRCAS executive staff and scientists working on various crops.
