In order to provide practical and advanced technologies and knowledge on food-value chain of Japanese companies to university students in ASEAN countries, the ASEAN-Japan Partnership Program on Food Value Chain was launched. As a sign of the beginning of the program, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan hosted an opening ceremony on January 23, 2015 in Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand. During the symposium organized after the opening ceremony, Japanese companies actively working in ASEAN countries introduced their efforts to contribute to adding value on agricultural products.
