From November 22-23, 2023, the ASEAN Forum convened in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a collaborative effort between the ASEAN Secretariat and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). The primary focus of this forum was the formulation of an Action Plan to implement the ASEAN Regional Guidelines on Sustainable Agriculture, which had been crafted the previous October. This plan comprised tangible elements such as specific activities, timelines, responsibilities, and the requisite resources.

The ASEAN Forum was held as part of the support for the development of an action plan for the implementation of the Regional Guidelines on Sustainable Agriculture, which was formulated last October, with practical contents including specific activities, timelines, responsibilities, and necessary resources. 

The event drew the participation of not only ASEAN government officials but also representatives from the private sector and ASEAN support partners. JIRCAS (Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences) played a pivotal role by disseminating the "Technology Catalog Contributing to Production Potential and Sustainability in the Asia-Monsoon Region" among attendees. This catalog served as a valuable reference for ASEAN countries contemplating the aforementioned action plan. A comprehensive presentation outlined the catalog's key features.

As a result of this presentation, the Technology Catalog was also introduced on the website of the ASEAN Secretariat,  complete with a link directing visitors to the JIRCAS International Center for Strategy "MIDORI" and its dedicated page introducing the Technology Catalogue. This strategic dissemination ensures wider accessibility and utilization of the catalog's insights and innovations.
