The JICA-JISNAS Symposium 2024 will be held as follows.

The purpose of this symposium is to deepen the knowledge of both sides and encourage the active and proactive participation of young human resources to develop their skills by discussing and exchanging opinions on specific themes in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries and regional development.

This year, as in previous years, the conference will be held in a hybrid format of on-site and online, and discussions will be deepened under the theme of "Frontline Needs and New Initiatives in Agricultural Cooperation." We look forward to your participation.

Theme:
"Frontline Needs and New Initiatives in Agricultural Cooperation"

The international community is tackling global issues with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in mind. Agricultural cooperation is also transforming from initiatives that focus on the diffusion of technologies related to productivity and quality improvement to initiatives that require cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary approaches that do not fit into existing academic fields, such as food security, nutrition improvement, value chain building, and climate change. In this symposium, we will share the situation in the field of agricultural cooperation in recent years, and introduce examples of new initiatives to reflect them in research and human resource development.
