About Science and Technology Week
April 14 (Mon) to April 20 (Sun), 2025, marks the 66th Science and Technology Week, as designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). During this period, which includes “Invention Day" on April 18, various research institutions nationwide will host public events.
Pre-Event Exhibition Information
On April 12 (Sat), we will participate in the “TSUKUBA SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY PRE EVENT 2025," hosted by Tsukuba Machinaka Design, at Tsukuba Center Square. At this event, visitors can experience “P-dipping," a rice cultivation technique developed in Madagascar. Through direct interaction with researchers, participants can learn about sustainable agriculture in Africa. Additionally, project leader TSUJIMOTO Yasuhiko will speak at “TALK RELAY," where he will introduce agricultural challenges in Africa and the background of the “P-dipping" development, along with other research studies being conducted in Madagascar.
