JIRCAS presented an exhibit of recent research activities at the Science Agora 2019 held on November 16-17, 2019 at the Telecom Center Building in Aomi, Tokyo. The Science Agora is an open forum organized by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) with the aim of deepening the relationship between “science” and “society” by providing a platform for  interaction and dialogue among policymakers, scientists, business people, media, and the general public.

With the theme focusing on science and technology collaboration towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), various research activities were introduced including a demonstration of WeRise (Weather-rice-nutrient integrated decision support system) developed by JIRCAS researchers.
