The Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) invites qualified postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers to participate in the Research Fellow Empowerment Initiative, which will be implemented under two research themes. This initiative aims to empower Japanese students and researchers through international experiences and collaborations with various partners at JIRCAS research sites abroad.

The JIRCAS Research Fellow Empowerment Initiative FY2024 is now open for applications from graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. JIRCAS, through international collaborative research, aims to provide scientific solutions to various problems, particularly in the areas of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, confronting developing countries in various regions of the world.

JIRCAS has announced two research themes for FY2024. The initiative provides unique opportunities for postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers to conduct their research activities at JIRCAS research sites abroad, alongside JIRCAS researchers and their partners. 

Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Through international experiences and collaborations with various partners, the initiative aims to broaden their perspectives and contribute to laying the foundation for research competence.
