JIRCAS and Can Tho University convened their annual project meeting on November 30th in Can Tho City, located in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. The purpose of the meeting was to share research plans and progress of the project "Development of agricultural technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the Mekong Delta" for the current fiscal year.
Approximately 40 participants, including virtual attendees, attended the meeting, which included two sessions: one focused on rice production and the other on livestock and biogas. Lively discussions were held on research plans and progress for the current fiscal year.
Of note was the participation of researchers from Cambodia, in addition to Vietnamese researchers, who contributed to the meeting by sharing information on ongoing research related to climate change adaptation in the agricultural sector in both countries.
