Dr. IZUMI Taro, Project Leader of "Climate Change Measures in Monsoon Asia," was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from Can Tho University, Vietnam, on November 30, 2023, in recognition of his extensive contributions to collaborative research with Can Tho University over the years.

Dr. Izumi, who began collaborating with Can Tho University in 2008 on climate change adaptation in the agricultural sector, has led collaborative research initiatives since 2021.

Can Tho University, recognizing Dr. Izumi's remarkable research achievements, his contributions to human resources development, and his key role as a liaison between the Japanese private sector and the University, presented the Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of President Ha Thanh Toan. The award was presented to Dr. Izumi by Vice-President Nguyen Hieu Trung at a ceremony held on the aforementioned day.
