JIRCAS President Dr. Masa Iwanaga attended the summit meeting between Prime Minister Abe of Japan and President Rajaonarimanpiania of Madagascar on August 27, 2016 at the Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI) in Nairobi, Kenya. Pres. Iwanaga explained the joint research of JIRCAS on rice with the counterparts in Madagascar. The two leaders expressed their hope that the bilateral relationship would become even closer through this exchange of science and technology.
