VaryAla Project

Dr. Yasuhiro Tsujimoto, Project Leader of JIRCAS and the SATREPS VaryAla project, traveled to Madagascar to manage project activities and carry out yield surveys for large-scale coordinated field trials.

Project Leader Tsujimoto paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of Madagascar.

Project Leader Tsujimoto paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Toshima of the Embassy of Japan in Madagascar.

Dr. Nakagawa Andressa, a Researcher at JIRCAS and a member of SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 1), traveled to Madagascar  for a preliminary survey. 

Dr. Tetsuro Kikuchi, Senior Researcher at JIRCAS and a member of SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 4), traveled to Madagascar for field surveys and discussions with collaborating research institutions

Dr. Yutaro Fujimoto of the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI), a member of the SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 4), traveled to Madagascar to conduct field research.

Dr. Tomoki Oda, Senior Researcher at the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI) and a member of the SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 4), traveled to Madagascar to conduct field surveys and fold meetings with collaborating research institutions.

Dr. Miwa Arai, a senior researcher at JIRCAS and a member of the SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 2), traveled to Madagascar for field surveys and meetings with local counterparts.

Papa Saliou Sarr, a senior researcher at JIRCAS and a member of the SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 2), traveled to Madagascar to establish experimental field sites.

Dr. Takanori Okamoto, a researcher at JIRCAS and a member of the SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 3), traveled to Madagascar to begin field environmental analyses related to paddy rice productivity and greenhouse gas emissions.

Dr. Aung Zaw Oo, a senior researcher at JIRCAS and a member of the SATREPS VaryAla Project (Output 1), traveled to Madagascar to establish experimental field sites.

Dr. Yasuhiro Tsujimoto, Project Leader of JIRCAS and SATREPS VaryAla, traveled to Madagascar to attend the First Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting.
