Dr. RANDRIAMBANONA Herizo Andrianantoandro, Output 2 Leader of the SATREPS VaryAla Project at the National Center for Environmental Research (CNRE), Madagascar, visited Japan for approximately one month from July to August under the Research Manager Invitation Program.

As part of Output 2, "Development of Technology to Promote Growth of Vegetable and Legume Crops by Soil Microorganisms," Dr. Herizo received hands-on training in soil DNA extraction techniques, visited research facilities, and exchanged scientific information with researchers from JIRCAS and the University of Tokyo. He also reviewed the progress of Output 2 activities and discussed future plans to strengthen collaboration among the project partners.
