The Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) has added Japanese and English subtitles to the archive videos of the 2025 Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers (Japan Award) and the JIRCAS International Symposium 2025, and has released them on YouTube via the “JIRCAS Channel.”
These videos document the awarding ceremony for the 2025 (19th) Japan Award organized by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council Secretariat, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, as well as the JIRCAS International Symposium 2025, entitled “Accelerating Application of Agricultural Technologies in the Asia-Monsoon Region.” Both events were held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Hitotsubashi Hall in Tokyo. In response to many requests in the post-event audience survey calling for more comprehensive Japanese subtitles, subtitles have now been added to these videos.
With the addition of subtitles, the content is expected to become easier to understand for a broader audience, enhancing accessibility and promoting understanding among viewers both in Japan and overseas. Furthermore, by expanding viewing opportunities, JIRCAS aims to strengthen the dissemination of its research outcomes and activities.
