A delegation of 10 members, including Mr. Nguyen Viet Tan, Deputy Director of the Department of Science & Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung, Senior Official at the Ministry of Science and Technology Technology, visited JIRCAS on November 10,2023.

During the visit, Dr. MARUI Jun-ichiro, Senior Researcher of the Biological Resources and Post-harvest Division, provided the delegation with a comprehensive overview of international collaborative research initiatives focusing on Thai fermented rice noodles (Khanom jeen) and amazake (Japanese style saccharified rice beverage). The presentation was titled "Joint Research and Development of Asian Traditional Fermented Foods". This was followed by fruitful discussions on the potential for future collaborative efforts.
