The 5th Medium to Long-term Plan states that “JIRCAS will strive to strengthen efforts for gender equality including the employment of excellent female and young staff members, appointment of women to management positions, improvement of work-life balance, and promoting the recruitment of research staff regardless of nationality”.
Based on the principles set forth in the Basic Act for a Gender-equal Society, the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, and the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next Generation Children, JIRCAS has formulated the “Basic plan for gender equality”, “Action plan for the realization of an organization where women’s Individuality and abilities can be fully demonstrated”, and the “Action plan for balancing work and family and creating an environment where all employees can work comfortably”, in order to create a work environment in which diverse human resources can play an active role regardless of gender.
