The JIRCAS visiting research fellows for FY2019 presented their research outputs in a meeting held on September 4, 2020.

The Visiting Research Fellowship Program invites promising researchers from developing countries to pursue research related to sustainable food production. The research fellows conduct research for one year under the supervision of JIRCAS researchers at the JIRCAS Headquarters in Tsukuba, Tropical Agriculture Research Front in Okinawa, or at research institutes in developing countries where JIRCAS is currently implementing collaborative research projects.

The five JIRCAS Fellows who started their research in October 2019 presented their research results for one year. As part of the preventive measures to avoid the 3Cs, the meeting was organized with physical and online participation.

After the presentations, JIRCAS Pres. IWANAGA Masa commended the 5 visiting research fellows for their outstanding achievements and presented certificates of recognition. The FY2019 JIRCAS Visiting Research Fellowship Program will be completed at the end of March 2021.
