The JIRCAS visiting research fellows for FY2018 from China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Brazil and Thailand presented their research achievements in a meeting held at the International Conference Room on September 5, 2019.

The Visiting Research Fellowship Program invites promising researchers from developing countries to pursue research related to sustainable food production. The research fellows conduct research for one year under the supervision of JIRCAS researchers at the JIRCAS Headquarters in Tsukuba, Tropical Agriculture Research Front in Okinawa, or at research institutes in developing countries where JIRCAS is currently implementing collaborative research projects.

After reporting the research results, JIRCAS Pres. Masa Iwanaga commended the 5 visiting research fellows for their outstanding achievements and presented certificates of completion.
