The Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Qu Dongyu, visited JIRCAS on August 29, 2018 in conjunction with his participation to the regular Japan-China dialogue between the ministers in-charge of agriculture.

The Vice-Minister was briefed with the joint research activities of JIRCAS with China and had discussions with Pres. Iwanaga and members of the executive board on the possibility of future joint research collaborations.
