A delegation from the Izmir Agricultural Technology Center (IATC) of the Republic of Turkey including the Secretary General of Izmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Erçin Güdücü, visited JIRCAS on October 17, 2019. The IATC was established in Izmir, a city in western Turkey, to analyze agricultural issues, propose technical solutions, and provide training and technical consultation for farmers and agricultural organizations.

The IATC delegation had a meeting with JIRCAS executive staff and researchers for an overview of research activities. The functions of IATC and target business models were also discussed during the meeting. The two organizations also agreed that it was important to exchange opinions, identify common areas of interest, and consider the possibility of future cooperation.
