JIRCAS International Workshop: Carbon sequestration in soils through farm land management - The latest world researches and relevancy in Southeast Asia - was co-organized by JIRCAS, Department of Agriculture (DOA) and Land Development Department (LDD), Thailand on 6 December 2012 at Bangkok, Thailand. 55 participants mostly from Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam discussed the relevancy of carbon sequestration in farm land of Southeast Asia.

On November 28, 2012, the Awarding Ceremony of the 2012 Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers was held at Tsukuba International Congress Center Epochal, Tsukuba City, Japan. The ceremony was well attended by many participants, including members of the Selection Committee.

JIRCAS joined Thailand National Science and Technology Fair 2012 JIRCAS joined the Thailand National Science and Technology Fair 2012 in Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand, which was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Royal Thai Government during 17-31 August 2012. JIRCAS has joined the fair every year since 2007.
