As part of JIRCAS outreach activities, young researchers presented their research activities at the "SAT Technology Showcase 2023" organized by Science Academy of Tsukuba and held on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
The Science Academy of Tsukuba (SAT) has been holding the annual "Technology Showcase," a research exhibition, since 2001. This year, more than 100 research results from universities, companies, and public research institutions were presented. The following young researchers from JIRCAS gave presentations in the poster session.
- Dr. OGATA Takuya, Senior Researcher (Biological Resources and Post-harvest Division) : Super crop quinoa research 〜Gene function analysis using viral vectors〜
- Dr. HOSHIKAWA Ken, Researcher (Biological Resources and Post-harvest Division) : Analysis of genetic resources diversity of "Hyuna", a traditional Asian vegetable 〜Toward nutritional improvement in developing regions〜
The SAT Technology Showcase is a "cross-disciplinary exchange meeting" where researchers and engineers active in Tsukuba and the greater Tokyo metropolitan area present and exchange their latest research results, ideas, and technologies.
This year, the 22nd SAT Technology Showcase was revived for the first time in three years as a face-to-face event, with the Tsukuba International Congress Center serving as the venue for poster presentations, as well as one-minute presentations by poster presenters (indexing presentations) and special symposiums.
