The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for promoting joint research collaboration between JIRCAS and the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) was concluded in a signing ceremony held on November 13, 2019 at the Alfa House in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for promoting joint research collaboration between JIRCAS and the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) was concluded in a signing ceremony held on November 13, 2019 at the Alfa House in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The MOU was signed by JIRCAS President, Dr. Masa Iwanaga, and NARC Acting Executive Director, Dr. Tek Bahadur Gurung. Both institutes agreed with strengthening the linkages in various fields including researches on traditional fermented food. The signing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Masamichi Saigo, Ambassador, Japan Embassy, Mr. Takami Nakada, Deputy Director-General for International Affairs, Minister’s Secretariat, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and many other government officials from Nepal.

The MOU signing was reported in the local newspapers.
