On Friday, September 6, 2024, 17 students and two faculty members from School of Agriculture, Tokai University visited the Tropical Agriculture Research Front (TARF), JIRCAS as a part of their “Comprehensive Agricultural Practicum” program.

Following the overview of the research activities of JIRCAS and TARF with collaborative research partners around the world, they visited the research facilities and experimental fields of tropical fruits, rice, and sugarcane. Each research activity was introduced by the researchers in charge, followed by questions and exchange of opinions.

We hope this program will provide students with an opportunity to learn more about the real world of agricultural research, in addition to the university lectures.
