In the session on transboundary plant pests, Dr. Kazuo Nakashima, JIRCAS Program Director introduced various research initiatives towards management and control of transboundary pests. The proposal made by Japan to organize international workshops and to promote research collaboration for tackling transboundary plant pests and in the development and scaling up and out of climate -smart technologies and practices was strongly supported by the G20 members.
