TARF Opens to the Public with Online Events
― Streaming of mini-lectures and other videos from Oct 31 to Nov 6 ―

The JIRCAS Tropical Agriculture Research Front (TARF) will hold the 16th TARF Open House for one week from October 31 (Mon) to November 6 (Sun.), 2022, as part of public relations activitiesto introduce its research activities to the general public, including the people of Ishigaki Island.

This online event will feature videos of mini-lectures on sugarcane and tropical fruit tree research, as well as a photo gallery of Ishigaki Island's agriculture, nature, lifestyle, and culture taken with a 360° camera, for the enjoyment of children and adults alike.

We hope that these activities and events during the TARF Open House will provide an opportunity for people of Ishigaki Island and all over Japan to learn, understand, and become interested in our research activities, as well as the charms of Ishigaki Island, and the agriculture and culture of the island.
