BFMbf est un programme convivial qui peut être utilisés pour suggérer des plans d'exploitation améliorés basés sur un modèle de gestion agricole pour aider les petits exploitants agricoles en Afrique (en anglais: https://www.jircas.go.jp/en/publication/research_results/2018_b02). Nous prévoyons utiliser ce programme pour soutenir les décisions des agriculteurs dans le cadre de projets de recherches connexes, notamment le "Développement de technologies de gestion des sols et des cultures pour stabiliser les systèmes agricoles des hautes terres des petits exploitants africains" (en anglais: https://www.jircas.go.jp/en/program/prob/b6).

PNAS "Cozzarelli Prize" for BNI-enabled wheat paper

The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS) has selected the Cozzarelli Prize, which acknowledges papers that reflect scientific excellence and originality, in 2021 for the successful development of BNI-enabled wheat. The award ceremony will be held online on May 1, 2022 (EST).

“BNI-enabled Wheat Development” selected as one of the “10 Major Advancements in Agricultural Technology” for 2021

On December 23, 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), Japan announced the selection of the “10 Major Advancements in Agricultural Technology” for 2021.
Among them, "BNI-enabled Wheat Development: Maintaining yield even with reduced nitrogen fertilizer" was selected as TOPIC No. 7.
JIRCAS, in collaboration with the National Agriculture of Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) of Laos and its affiliate Forestry Research Center (FRC), has been conducting dietary surveys and non-timber forest product surveys in rural areas of Laos for many years, and has documented the wildlife used by local residents. This time, we have created a wildlife database providing information in local language on the wild animals and plants consumed by people in the rural areas in Central Laos.
