Let's Learn Together! Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Developing Regions - Children's Visit Day & Tsukuba Chibikko Hakase 2024

The world's population continues to grow, and the Earth's environment is reaching its limits. What if we could no longer get food or if the days became too hot?

The Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) is a national research institute dedicated to solving global problems related to food and the environment. We conduct research and develop technologies that are valuable for agriculture, fisheries, and forestry, mainly in tropical and developing regions. We also collect, organize, and share information on the world's agriculture, forestry, and fisheries industries, and provide technical support to people. This time, we introduce some of our research activities overseas, including in Africa, Asia, and South America. You may encounter soils and plants that are not usually seen around you. There will also be a mini-lecture by a researcher.

Why not learn about agriculture, forestry, and fisheries in developing regions with the motto "Together for our food and planetary health"? We eagerly await your visit.
