Railway

• Japan Railway Co.(JR)
  • Take a Joban line (Ueno Tokyo Line) train departing from track #10 at Shinagawa Station, track #7 and #8 at Tokyo Station and track #9, #10, #11, #12 at Ueno Station, and get off at Ushiku Station.
• Tsukuba Express
  • Akihabara (#01, "秋葉原") Take a train bound for "Tsukuba".
  • Bampaku-kinenkoen (#18, "万博記念公園")

Bus

• from Narita Airport (bound for "土浦駅東口")
  • Take the Airport Liner NATT'S shuttle bus departing from bus stop #8 at terminal 1 and bus stop #10 at terminal 2, and get off at Tsukuba Center.
  • Bus tickets are available at Keisei counter, which is located on the 1st floor of each terminal. It takes approximately 100 minutes to Tsukuba Center (depends on the traffic).
• from Tokyo Station (bound for "つくばセンター" or "筑波大学")
  • Japan Railway Co. (JR) and Kanto Railway Co. operate shuttle bus services between Tokyo and Tsukuba. The bus leaves from Tokyo station YAESU-south exit (bus stop #3) every 10 to 20 minutes. It takes about 90 minutes to Tsukuba depending on the traffic. Bus tickets are available at a ticket booth at the Highway Bus Center, which is located in the YAESU-south exit.
  • Take a bus, and then get off at Tsukuba Center.
